Instagram Enables Dark Mode

Dark mode is all the rage when it comes to social media apps. Twitter, Facebook Messenger, and YouTube already established the option for users, and Instagram finally made the switch itself. Dark mode is a color scheme that uses light-colored text, icons, and graphical user interface elements on a dark background and is often discussed in terms of computer user interface design and web design. In other words, the background of the app is black while the words are reflected against it in white. It tends to appear to be easier on the eyes, especially when using the apps at night in the dark.

That being said, light mode might be better in bright environments. Light mode tends to make users be more productive. Think of yourself during the day versus night: in the daytime, you go to work and get things done. At night, you enjoy binging television shows while surfing the Internet.
