One of the main factors that helps your ranking is the duration of each session spent on your site, meaning that the longer they stay, the more relevant the content was to them. Creating links to other pages on your site is something that will keep them viewing and reading through longer. For example, someone found your site through an article with an interesting topic. While reading, they came across a link to another article and clicked it, directing them to another page on your site. So, they discovered more than what they bargained for because you had the appropriate links to keep them learning more. Because of this, they didn’t bounce, or leave your site. A bouncing rate of about 40% is good; 50-60% is average and above 70% is high. If you have 90% bouncing rate, that means your content is completely irrelevant to your viewers and you should seriously consider retargeting the right people.
